Driver's Education

Students who are 16 years or older can take the Learner Permit Test given by New York
State Department of Motor Vehicles at St. Mary’s High School over the internet. The results are immediate. Students who pass the online test will get a receipt and other forms which they would take to any DMV office and apply for a permit. Students who do not pass the test can re-take the test as many times as is necessary.
  
Taking the Test at St. Mary’s High School

The Learner Permit exam is administered on the first and third Tuesday and Thursday of each
month. The exam will be given in Immaculata Hall room 108 during 5 th period and after school
between 2:30 and 3:00. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
 
Students must pre-register with Mr. Puca at least one week before the test. Please email: Mr. Puca at cpuca@saintmaryshs.org
  • Students must have their school issued Chrome Book to take the test
  • Only 6 students are eligible to take the test at one time
  • Students must bring proof of identification on the day of test.
  • The only acceptable forms of identification are:
  1. Birth Certificate/Passport (photocopy accepted)
  2. School photo ID
  3.  NYSDMV-issued document
