Omnia Ad Jesum Per Mariam

Omnia ad Jesum Per Mariam

Everything to Jesus through Mary
This short motto summarizes well the relationship between Our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Lady.  Everything and everyone comes to Jesus through His Mother Mary because the Eternal Word became flesh through the Fiat (“let it be done” in Latin) which Mary spoke in response to the message of the Archangel Gabriel by which God invited Her to become the Mother of God. The Angelus prayer recalls this most intimate and solemn event.

Our Lady not only represents herself to God as a partner in bringing salvation to the world through her son, Jesus, but she also represents the entire community of believers, the Church, who make the same Fiat to God’s will and plan whenever we profess our Catholic faith and receive baptism in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Our Lady is the Mother of the Church because her “Yes” brings Jesus into the world and  all who belong to Him through faith and baptism constitute his Mystical Body in its various states of glory in Heaven, purification in purgatory and in journey on the earth.  This Mystical Body of Christ is the communion of grace, which is the focal point and instrument of God’s transformation of the world from a broken and fallen Creation to a healed and elevated New Creation.

Thus, we can confidently and truly say that everything and everyone comes to Jesus through Mary, through her “Yes” because through this “Yes” Our Savior came into the world so that the world might be saved through Him.  This same “Yes” to God inspires everything that we do at the Schools of Saint Mary to bring everyone to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
