Admissions Information and Requirements
Students residing in the Diocese of Rockville Centre must register and take the Catholic High School Entrance Exam (CHSEE). Students residing in the five boroughs of New York City (The Diocese of Brooklyn and Archdiocese of New York) must register and take the Test for Admission to Catholic High Schools (TACHS). Exam application forms may be obtained starting in September from Catholic elementary schools, local parish offices or online. The CHSEE and TACHS exams are both administered at testing sites throughout each Diocese in October.
The school code for St. Mary’s College Preparatory School is #699.
While optional, it is strongly recommended that each student secured an online recommendation. This should come from a teacher, a principal, school counselor, coach or pastor. You must request the recommendations through the online admissions portal.
The top ranking eighth grade applicants will be awarded scholarships based on performance on the High School Entrance Exam and school achievement. The scholarships are renewed each year based on successful academic standing and upholding the guidelines of St. Mary’s College Preparatory High School.
Students seeking to transfer to St. Mary’s must provide transcripts for the previous two years and schedule an interview with the Director of Admissions. Please contact Mrs. Norma Stafford, Director of Admissions, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 516-627-2711 ext.1084 for more information.
