Student Government Visits County Seat

Members of the Student Government Association at St. Mary's High School went on a field trip on November 27, 2023, to the Nassau County Seat in Mineola. Nassau County Legislator Mazi Melesa Pilip, who represents Legislative District 10 – which includes Manhasset, invited the students to visit the Executive Offices of Nassau County and learn about the function of our local government. During the tour, the students visited the legislative chamber and had the opportunity to converse with multiple legislators. For many students who aspire to work in public service someday, this trip was an encouraging experience. We thank Legislator Pilip for the invitation and tour.
