Alumni in the News: Matt Jordan '03

Matt Jordan will be inducted into the Adelphi Athletic Hall of Fame for Men's Swimming & Diving.
One of our own, Matt Jordan '03, will be inducted into the Adelphi Athletic Hall of Fame on October 13, 2021 for Men’s Swimming  & Diving. While at Adelphi from 2003-2007, Matt owned the school records in the 50- and 200-yard freestyle relay events and was a four-time All-Conference swimmer. He was the recipient of Adelphi’s Presidential Award for Student Athletics and named Nassau County Male Athlete of the Year. In 2013, Matt was the recipient of Adelphi’s “10 Under 10” Award which honored alumni who achieved professional success and made a difference in their communities within 10 years of graduating.
Matt has been a mathematical statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau since 2009. He and his colleagues were awarded the Bronze Medal Award, the bureau’s highest honor, for their work on determining which states and counties needed language assistance at polling places. This helped millions of citizens vote in the 2012 election.
Once again, a heartfelt congratulations to Matt on his many successes!
